All Souls Novena of Nine Holy Masses

Throughout the liturgical year we celebrate memorials and feasts for the many saints canonized by the Church. The example of their holy lives continues to inspire us that we too may attain holiness and share in the victory of the risen Christ. We venerate them and ask for their intercession that our prayers may be answered.

Within the liturgical year one day is set aside for the commemoration of all the faithful departed and that is All Souls Day. The importance of this commemoration is that it offers us the opportunity to pray for all the faithful departed, but particularly our parents, relations, friends and benefactors; for those who are most acceptable to God; for those who have suffered the longest, or have the longest yet to suffer; for those who are most forsaken; for those who are nearest redemption; for those who are suffering on our account; for those who hope in our prayers; for those who during life have injured us, or been injured by us; and for our spiritual brethren.

To spiritually assist all the faithful departed we are offering a Novena of Nine Holy Masses that will begin on All Souls Day, Wednesday, November 2, 2011. To have your loved ones, friends and those who need your prayers enrolled in the list of those we pray for, please fill out the All Souls Mass Remembrance reply form. If you wish to enroll the names of many people, please use the reverse of the reply form or simply attach a list of their names so that we may also include them in the All Souls Novena. Since we will be transferring the names onto our enrollment list, please write as clearly as possible.
